This was one of the men who followed me around for about 40 minutes tonight. They were so interested/nosy in what I was doing. They were pretty funny and made me laugh!! This crazy guy decided he wanted me to take his photo for his new ID! After some persuasion and some banter we scurried off to the nearest light source coming from a bare light bulb in the street. Here's the result from my night of craziness!! The photos are to come!!
A creation for the lookatme group, for the weekly competion. This week the theme was religion, and I tried to sum up my feelings for religion, particularly organised religion. Hopefully this isn't too much of a cliche, and hopefully it offends as many people as possible... ;)
Best large to avoid the moire patterns, or even better large and on black.
This is also an experiment with RAW photo processing.

Military celebration on in Pristina, Kosovo, before "The Night of Fire". It's a nationalist celebration that marks the anniversary of the killings of Adem Jashari, one of the Kosovo Liberation Army's founders, and his family.
Strange affair altogether, and I have to admit that this came as a surprise to me: I knew there was going to be an event, but didn't expect hundreds of soldiers and big speeches.
Don't know what to think - everyone's all fired up about the supposedly radical students demonstrating while the officialdom embraces KLA with its snipers and village raids. No one's getting their panties in a bunch about that.
I won't even bother explaining how long it took to get those two annoying letter F's on the back of my neck! Eye-liner is so very messy, especially when attempting to do so on the back of the neck via one mirror behind me, and another in front....! But hurray for drawing out templates and cutting them out... Too hard to explain...
Then hurray for photoshop help too.
Anyway. My themed week "theme" isn't actually pop singers. Although, funnily enough for the past three days it has seemed like it.
I think if you've been checking out the previous tags and today's tags, you may notice a common pattern in them. That, is the theme for this themed week:)
As inspired by the There is nothing left to lose album cover by The Foo Fighters.
A culmination of stupid things I see in profile photos. At least I'm not posing nekked with my toddler in the background.
that I really *am* still alive. I've been sick since June 20! Yikes. Some virus that hit me like a bad case of mono. Ugh. I am slowly getting stronger...But am still mentally fried most of the time. I have been having to learn patience and acceptance with this illness, as I have been unable to work this whole time.
Today, I was able to walk 8 blocks !! Yay! And I took my first set of photos since before I got sick. Glad to know that I haven't forgotten how to use my camera. But now I am ready for a nap. =)
(BTW - not yet being a strobist gal, this was taken with the natural light that comes in through my bedroom window. I realize now that if I had waited 2 hours, the sun would've been lower and I would've been able to get highlights on my face. Also, still thinking I should crop off the bottom 1/4 of the photo...)

Juvenile bluebird turning into adult colors - a beautiful blue. Looking for insects, about a half mile from my home, but not catching anything yet. (potomacstar, all rights reserved)
1000 images on flickr, for your amazing eyes to see!! This one goes out to all the people who have ever commented or faved any of my pictures since I started!!! You are what make my images come alive!! I love you all!!!
It's March the 17th. It's Monday. It's St. Patrick's day today. And I'm wearing green. Or should I say, I'm a green.
Technically, the Catholic church changed the Saint Patrick's day to the 15th on Saturday due to the Holy Week (which started yesterday...)
But nonetheless, it still doesn't stop the punters(!) drinking their Guinesses.
It's amazing how the world celebrates this day by getting drunk. Complete and utter madness. What has society become?!
I'm a green. I'm healthy. I don't binge-drink. You and I should STRIVE FOR FIVE instead!! ;)
